Weekly Newsletter - 5/08
Dear Fourth Grade Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful week and enjoyed our snow day! I can’t thank you enough for showering me with flowers, thank-you notes, and little gifts all week. I have felt so loved and appreciated, and I am truly thankful for such supportive families. It was also fun cheering on the kids at field day with you all! Our Sand Dunes trip is coming up next week! Please read through all of the reminders below to stay up to date.

Please make sure you have all forms completed (including the digital one), have signed up for food/supplies, and have turned in your payment. A reminder that it is up to you whether you would like to carpool with someone or drive yourself and your child. Please reach out with any questions or concerns. Thank you all — I am looking forward to it!
- Memory & Spelling: The students will not have a memory verse during the last two weeks of school due to the shortened weeks and adjusted schedules. They will also have their next spelling test on Wednesday, May 13. This will be the last spelling test of the year!
- SJ Spring Musical Information: As you’ve seen, our musical has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 13. Your student is invited to wear a solid black top (please no logos) with either black, khaki, or jeans. Black dresses and skirts are also welcomed! If your child has been assigned a role, their costume suggestion may be different and has been communicated to them. Thank you so much for your attention to this and we look forward to sharing this exciting story with you! Please feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any questions. It’s going to be a great show!
- Students with speaking parts should report to the worship center by 6:00 PM. All other students should meet in the classroom at 6:15 PM. The musical will begin at 6:30 PM in the worship center.
- Parent Survey: We would love to hear about your family’s experience at St. John’s School this year. Your feedback helps us grow, celebrate what’s working, and respond thoughtfully to areas of need for the direct benefit of our students. By sharing your perspective, you help us ensure that every child continues to Grow in Faith, Excel in Education, and Thrive in Community. Survey responses are anonymous. Your insights will be reviewed by school staff, leadership, and the School Ministry Team to help shape the future of our school. You can give your 2025-26 feedback here. Surveys close May 22, 2026.
- End of the Year Party: On the last day of school, our class will be having a party to celebrate all the ways we have grown this year! If you would like to help plan the party or contribute snacks or games, please let me know. Thank you!
